Oh my... I am the only female so far, aren't I!?! Haha XD Anyway, it's a shame you altered your pitch :P but a fun entry anyway. At least they'll be entertained while slapping you with a disqualification :D

AngelofPeace responds:

IKR? Well, at least I had fun. :B

Good luck to you, and just a heads up, your strongest competitiors are Iamavoiceactor with his "For Bratter or Wurst" and ecopper12 with "My First Job."

Well, that was entertaining :D A homosexual talking horse is certainly original, haha. The ending is fun and the whole thing is reminiscent of an episodic cartoon.

I have a few gripes, though, as this seems a bit of a stretch for the "my first" theme. I don't want to come off accusatory, BUT it seems like there has been some pitch tweaking, like the weird voices of the undead army, and the up-down pitch of the demonic voice in the end.

ManDemolition responds:

The Undead voices were actually pretty easy to pull off. With the main villain, though, I did copy and lower the pitches, but I wanted to make sure the original voice could still be heard despite the tweaks to give the villain that demonic vibe so as to not give off an instant disqualification. Hopefully it counts.

This is a great entry :D I think the writing stands out, since it's not especially over the top trying too hard to be funny and there's no lewd humor like most of the other entries (my own, included). The office ambience was an especially nice touch.

The only voice I think that might need a little work is Benjamin. The acting and delivery is great, though I think he sounded a little too much like the coworker. Otherwise, all of the voices were pretty distinct.

And that ending XD Poor Daniel.

I think you have a really good chance in this contest :3 Good luck!!

ecopper12 responds:

Thanks for the critique! Yeah, when I was formulating the voice for Benjamin, I couldn't really figure out what voice I wanted for him, so I just kinda winged it. xD Thanks for the luck, and I wish you the same!

Hehee that was enjoyable :D Whatever editing you did, I'm glad you got it down to EXACTLY 6:00!!! :O!!

Anyway, besides the physics defying issue I brought up earlier, I think you've adapted the script well to this condensed version, and the story was fun to follow. However, there was a moment around 2:00 where the voices sounded a little too alike. Otherwise, I think you displayed a good range from the high lady to the gravelly cockroach and then dopey Bob's voice.

A few mixing issues, there's some static toward the end before Mal discovers what Timmy's wish is, so you might want to tweak the noise removal there. I would have liked to hear a little more ambient sound effects, like maybe owls to set the scene? I really like that crow, though. Also I thought the transformation sound effects were too whooshy whereas I'd have preferred them...poppy. Music choice was great, too. Added to the scene, wasn't distracting, good volume level.

I think you stand a good chance in this competition! :D Good luck!

moonvamp responds:

The upload has now been edited and fixed. Owls are now a good part of the ambiance, I re-recorded Timmy's response around 2:00 to make it his own, and I tried my best with that one spot you mentioned regarding the noise. It was tricky, but it does a little bit better than last time? 0_0

As for the whooshes, what can I say? I prefer whooshes than poppies. :3

Thanks again for the feedback. Hopefully it's a bit better.

I think this is great, and a nice, different entry compared to the others I've listened to. My only problem is the mixing. The volume level, for instance, is much too low.

Saminat responds:

Hey thanks! Heheh, not too late to change that up, and I agree that it is a bit off. Thanks friend!

I wanted to let you know I used this in my audio book, at the end :) I think it brings a lot of life to the silliness and whimsy of the scene. https://soundcloud.com/aderumoro/csm-audiobook-ch03

Steadd responds:

Yay! I'm glad you saw my music as a suitable asset! :D I enjoyed the audio book too! You have a new soundcloud follower :3. If you ever need more music I'll try to compose something for ya!

This is absolutely beautiful and charming. Serene and innocent, yet it still gives a longing feeling for something that I'm uncertain about.

The build up at 1:46 is a little unexpected but a lovely change.

Wonderful song with a lovely sense of mysticism :) I love the epic cinematic sound.

Also I wanted to let you know I've used it in my submission for the Newgrounds Voice Acting Contest 11: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/553363
